HP EliteBook 840 G6 i5 8th Gen 8GB RAM 256GB SSD Refurbished Laptop | EAZYPC

The HP EliteBook 840 G6 is a dependable business laptop for people who want solid everyday performance at a refurbished price. Its 4-core, 8-thread Intel Core i5 8th Gen processor, 8GB RAM and 256GB SSD handle office work, online classes and video calls with ease. It also keeps what makes the EliteBook line popular: a sturdy aluminium and magnesium-alloy build, a spill-resistant backlit keyboard, a fingerprint reader and enterprise security features.

Specifications

Real-World Performance (Tested by EazyPC)

In our testing on a Core i5-8365U unit, the CPU ran at about 3.29 GHz on a single core and can boost to around 4.1 GHz. Its Digital Content Creation score of 2,989 shows it can handle quick photo touch-ups, but it isn't built for video editing or 3D work. SSD write speeds vary from unit to unit and depend on the drive fitted, and a fresh SATA SSD is a cheap upgrade if you move a lot of large files.

Who Should Buy It?

• ✅ Great for: Office work, students, online classes, remote work, video calls, Excel and Word-heavy work, and small businesses
• ❌ Not for: Modern gaming, video editing or 3D rendering

FAQs

Does the HP EliteBook 840 G6 support Windows 11?

Yes. 8th Gen Intel Core processors and TPM 2.0 meet Microsoft's Windows 11 requirements, and every EazyPC unit comes with Windows 11 Pro pre-installed.

Is 8GB RAM enough?

Yes for office work, web browsing and video calls, as the PCMark 10 Essentials score of 7,081 shows. If you keep many apps and browser tabs open all day, upgrading to 16GB is an inexpensive way to keep it smooth.

Can I upgrade the RAM?

Yes. The laptop has 2 SO-DIMM DDR4 slots and supports up to 32GB. EazyPC also offers RAM upgrades for a small fee, so contact us before ordering.

Can I play games on it?

Only light ones. It scored 418 in 3DMark Time Spy on Intel UHD Graphics 620. That's fine for older and lightweight titles on low settings, but not for modern 3D games.

Does it have Thunderbolt?

Yes. The USB-C port supports Thunderbolt 3, so it can carry video, data and charging over a single cable or dock.

Does it have an Ethernet port?

Yes. It has a built-in RJ-45 Ethernet port, so no adapter is needed.

How long does the battery last?

EazyPC guarantees a minimum of 2 hours of battery backup on every unit. Refurbished batteries vary with charge cycles, and a healthy 50Wh battery typically gives around 6 to 8 hours of mixed office use.

What warranty do I get?

You choose a 30-day or 6-month warranty, with no hidden T&C. If the laptop turns out to be defective within that period, EazyPC repairs or replaces it. Returns are accepted within 7 days for a wrong item or defect (T&C apply).

Is COD available?

Yes. Cash on Delivery is available across India. A 5% additional charge applies to COD; UPI gives the best price.

How long does delivery take?

Orders are dispatched the next working day and delivered within 3–4 working days across India.
